The Rib Cook Off Association was started in the USA in 2023 by Jody Harris and Dirk Mullins with the aim of making competitive BBQ accessible to everyone, regardless of your skills and experience. In Europe there was also a need for a change in BBQ competition to keep it accessible to everyone. Tim van den Berg and Dirk van de Walle, who have been involved in the competitive BBQ scene for years, have therefore decided to bring the Rib Cook Off Association to Europe to grow the Food Sport in Europe and to guide it with established guidelines. / rules for both the organizer and the jury members and of course the participants. RCOA Europe will support organizers and cooks as much as possible in the run-up and during the event.

At the Rib Cookoff Association Europe, our mission is to work hand in hand with organizers like you to organize events that not only elevate the sport of BBQ ribs but also create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for the communities hosting these exciting gatherings.
